PS The ReBels bring together part one to an on going series of cyphers. This is ESL: Class Session 1 (Moja) that begins with the first instrument of music, which is the voice. This a capella will introduce you to the lyricism from the thought provoking, revolutionary, Afrohop duo PS the ReBels.

The classic Swahilli phrase "Hakuna Matata" (which means "no worries") finds its way into Hip-Hop cultures modern day scene. PS the ReBels pay Homage to Nelson Mandela 

PS the ReBels pay their respects with this tribute song to Nelson Mandela. For this a musical eulogy to the former rebel, PS the ReBels pair up again with composer/producer International Rinaldo for this send off to the late African leader Nelson Rolihlahla "Madiba" Mandela.




 

The Couch Sessions w/ PS the ReBels 


PS the ReBels were recently featured on The Couch Sessions adding them to a roster amongst other musicians such as Common, Estelle, Nneka, Elle Verner, Diggy Simmons, Mary J Blige and many more.

PS the ReBels open for Flatbush Zombies in Dallas 


This past weekend PS the ReBels delivered an electrifying performance opening up for Flatbush Zombies Better of Dead Tour in Dallas.  PS the ReBels had one agenda in mind "come out and show out" which they did. From the Afrikan attire to the afro sounding beats and uncanny ability to captivate, PS show no signs of slowing down any time soon.




 

NEW MUSIC VIDEO "THE EDGE" NOW AVAILABLE 

PS the ReBels have released some new visuals from their song " The Edge". This time PS the ReBels explain what life may become like when society pushes you to "The Edge" collaborating with the captivating voice of Ugandan songstress Sera Lubowa. Shot by Kam Kalambay of Kalomika Films. A Bold confident approach this song takes from the native sounds of African instruments such as the Balafon,the lute and some heavy bass for your system. Influenced by legendary Hip-Hop song "The Message" by Grand Master Flash and The Furious 5, this ballad is sure to leave an impression.  Watch here:

PS the Rebels aka Pihon N SamUiLL the ReBels are known for creating music that brings awareness to listeners, elevates minds and encourages people to a more free thinking, open minded world. In addition to being activists through music, PS the Rebels are involved with several groups and grass roots organizations that are structured to rebuild broken communities and focused on the liberation of oppressed people everywhere. The collective keep working to bring a conscious awakening and hope through music to help steer our worlds towards a positive direction.

PS The ReBels have released a new visual for their song BaRua which is Swahili for letter. Produced by International Rinaldo and mixed By Fatty Fabulous, The song which is written in the format of a letter to everyday people. "We addressed this letter to the people who keep the world going but don't run it" says PS the ReBels. The visual also serves as an introduction to PS the ReBels and the world of Pihon and SamUiLL.
BaRua is the "about me" section of PS the ReBels. Which starts with "Dear, to whomever that this may concern" and ending with "Sincerely yours, PS the ReBels."
